NR 83 – Liberty Star Completes ZTEM Geophysical Survey at Big Chunk, Alaska and all Assessment Work Requirements for Our Alaska State Mining Claims

Tucson, Arizona – September 9, 2009 – Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (the “Company” LBSR: OTCBB) announces that its geophysical contractor Geotech Ltd. (Aurora, Ontario Canada) completed a ZTEM geophysical survey on August 31, 2009.

ZTEM (Z Axis Tipper Electromagnetic system) is a helicopter borne survey method measuring electromagnetic activity. Geotech’s computer technology and sensitive measuring equipment enables detection and modeling of the shape of metallic mineral bodies at more than one kilometer (3,300 feet) below the surface.
